HOW TO MANAGE TIME AND MASTER YOUR LIFE

11:45 PM 1 Comment

Chances are good that, at some time in your life, you've taken a time management class, read about it in books, and tried to use an electronic or paper-based day planner to organize, prioritize and schedule your day. "Why, with this knowledge and these gadgets," you may ask, "do I still feel like I can't get everything done I need to?".

The answer is simple. Everything you ever learned about managing time is a complete waste of time because it doesn't work.

Before you can even begin to manage time, you must learn what time is. A dictionary defines time as "the point or period at which things occur." Put simply, time is when stuff happens.

There are two types of time: clock time and real time. In clock time, there are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year. All time passes equally. When someone turns 50, they are exactly 50 years old, no more or no less.

In real time, all time is relative. Time flies or drags depending on what you're doing. Two hours at the department of motor vehicles can feel like 12 years. And yet our 12-year-old children seem to have grown up in only two hours.

Which time describes the world in which you really live, real time or clock time?

The reason time management gadgets and systems don't work is that these systems are designed to manage clock time. Clock time is irrelevant. You don't live in or even have access to clock time. You live in real time, a world in which all time flies when you are having fun or drags when you are doing your taxes.

The good news is that real time is mental. It exists between your ears. You create it. Anything you create, you can manage. It's time to remove any self-sabotage or self-limitation you have around "not having enough time," or today not being "the right time" to start a business or manage your current business properly.

There are only three ways to spend time: thoughts, conversations and actions. Regardless of the type of business you own, your work will be composed of those three items.

As an entrepreneur, you may be frequently interrupted or pulled in different directions. While you cannot eliminate interruptions, you do get a say on how much time you will spend on them and how much time you will spend on the thoughts, conversations and actions that will lead you to success.

 10 TIPS OF THE DAY
·        Carry a schedule and record all your thoughts, conversations and activities for a week. This will help you understand how much you can get done during the course of a day and where your precious moments are going. You'll see how much time is actually spent producing results and how much time is wasted on unproductive thoughts, conversations and actions.

·        Any activity or conversation that's important to your success should have a time assigned to it. To-do lists get longer and longer to the point where they're unworkable. Appointment books work. Schedule appointments with yourself and create time blocks for high-priority thoughts, conversations, and actions. Schedule when they will begin and end. Have the discipline to keep these appointments.

·        Plan to spend at least 50 percent of your time engaged in the thoughts, activities and conversations that produce most of your results.

·        Schedule time for interruptions. Plan time to be pulled away from what you're doing. Take, for instance, the concept of having "office hours." Isn't "office hours" another way of saying "planned interruptions?"

·        Take the first 30 minutes of every day to plan your day. Don't start your day until you complete your time plan. The most important time of your day is the time you schedule to schedule time.

·        Take five minutes before every call and task to decide what result you want to attain. This will help you know what success looks like before you start. And it will also slow time down. Take five minutes after each call and activity to determine whether your desired result was achieved. If not, what was missing? How do you put what's missing in your next call or activity?

·        Put up a "Do not disturb" sign when you absolutely have to get work done.
·        Practice not answering the phone just because it's ringing and e-mails just because they show up. Disconnect instant messaging. Don't instantly give people your attention unless it's absolutely crucial in your business to offer an immediate human response. Instead, schedule a time to answer email and return phone calls.

·        Block out other distractions like Facebook and other forms of social media unless you use these tools to generate business.

·        Remember that it's impossible to get everything done. Also remember that odds are good that 20 percent of your thoughts, conversations and activities produce 80 percent of your results.

Welcome to share together and be punctual and use time effectively!!!

11 REASONS WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS

Everyone always says, “Follow your dreams!” But not everyone does it. Life interjects, bills pile up, and sometimes we have to do jobs we don’t want to do just to make it through the day. However, there are a number of reasons to follow your dreams, to break the trend, and to live the life you’ve always wanted. Here they are below:

1. They make life worth living

Your dreams are what can get you through even the worst days. If you are struggling, your dreams are your reason to keep going. They are why you wake up in the morning and try again. They are what makes your entire life worth living. Without our dreams, we are nothing.

2. You’ll meet other dream seekers

When you are motivated and excited about pursuing your dreams, you’ll attract other people who have the same values and interests. The more you surround yourself with high achievers, the further you’ll go. Then, when times get tough, and it’s hard to keep going, your friends will motivate you to continue achieving.

3. You can be an inspiration to others

If you decide to go and follow your dreams, you will give hope to others who want to do the same. You can serve as their example and their reason why they should give it a try. You can help them, coach them, and encourage them to keep going.

4. You can provide for your family

When you are this motivated, it’s very hard to fail. If you are very set on your dreams, and you make sure that you can make an income along the way, you’ll be able to provide for your family. Some dreams take longer than others to achieve, but that’s what makes the end goal so worth it.

5. Working in a job you hate makes the days go slowly

Why should you work in a job you hate? You’ll count the clock, you won’t do as well, and you’ll dread waking up in the morning. Instead, pursue your dreams! Get excited about your day, and enjoy the process of doing what you love.

6. Because no one is going to follow them for you

Let’s face it: no one else is going to pursue your dreams for you. Everyone has their own dreams and their own goals for what they want to achieve in life. If you don’t go for it, no one else will.

7. So that you can finally be happy

Life without dreams is depressing. Search far and wide for yours, and make a promise to yourself that you will start pursuing them. Once you get on the path towards your goal, you will notice a distinct change in how you feel.

8. To prove them wrong

All of us have been around people who told us our dreams weren’t possible. Let that add fuel to your fire. Think about all the people who said it would never happen, and go out and prove them wrong.

9. It will make your parents proud

Sometimes parents don’t always understand our dreams or they try to sway us towards a particular one. However, if you are adamant about your dreams, and you work hard to achieve them, your parents have no reason not to be proud of you.

10. It will make YOU proud

Even better than making your parents proud, you will be proud of yourself! Your confidence will rise, and you’ll enjoy the excitement and the adrenaline that comes with doing something you’ve always wanted to do.

11. You only live once

Life is short. Our days are numbered, so why spend them doing something we don’t love? It’s time to make a decision to go for it.

I’m in! Are you!!!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“Nothing stops a person who desires to achieve. Every obstacle is simply a course to develop to their achievement muscles. It’s a strengthening of their powers toward accomplishment.” – Eric Butterworth

First, you have to have a burning desire to achieve. There will be obstacles, but you have to think through what didn’t work, try something different, and never give up. Thomas Edison’s laboratory burnt to the ground before he found the correct filament for the light bulb. But he didn’t quit, he rebuilt and kept trying new and different combinations until he succeeded. He had the burning desire to achieve what he knew could be done. What is your burning desire? Keep working on your continuous improvement until you achieve your goal. Think it through.

Have a great day, and believe in yourself. You can do it.

HOW TO DO IMPOSSIBLE THINGS

Is it possible to do impossible things?
Are there really impossible things or is there no limit to the human ambition?
Yesterday I was browsing old songs on Youtube until I came across one of my favorite childhood songs, Scatman. I was so happy while listening to the song and I recalled real good positive memories but what made me even happier is that I discovered that the singer who is known as John scatman has done the impossible!!

Scatman did the impossible

John was known for his severe stuttering to the extent that he could hardly complete a single phrase without repeating it six or seven times. John became socially withdrawn and suffered a lot because of his stuttering but one day, HE DECIDED TO BE A SINGER!!

John released his song Scatman with the aim of inspiring people who stutter and challenging himself. The song became extremely popular, made John famous and gave him the name Scatman john. Not only has John made a successful song but he has also sang very fast to the extent that it was very hard to sing like him.

John sold over six million records (an impressive number at his time), toy shops in Japan sold small toys that looked like him and Coca Cola placed his picture on its cans!!
Imagine that you had John’s stuttering problem would you have ever considered singing?? People who stutter avoid talking because they consider it impossible, what about singing??

Impossible is nothing if you believed its really nothing

Scatman John’s example was one of the many inspiring examples we come across in our lives. People like him did impossible things and proved to the world that impossible is nothing if you really had the will.

Now tell me about the tasks you believed that they are impossible before reading this article, do you think that it’s impossible to become rich, popular or even happy?
Didn't Scatman prove that anybody can do anything that is considered impossible if he tried hard enough??

John was a normal human being just like you but the only difference between him and you is that he believed he that he could do it while you didn’t.
Always in my article I said that impossible is nothing if you really believed that its nothing. The only thing that limits people from reaching their potential are the beliefs they hold about the world and nothing more.

If you want to do impossible things just remember what Scatman said in his song:
Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you.
As a matter of fact don't let nothin' hold you back.
If the Scatman can do it so can you.
